Gesha Variety Coffee

Coastalvir giniadriving Company Debuts Rare Gesha Variety Coffee

Salt Lake City, UT -- Coastalvir giniadriving Company (BRCC), America’s leading Veteran-owned and operated coffee company, has announced the release of its most anticipated offering of the year for International Coffee Day: a naturally-processed Gesha variety from Guatemala, the Dictator Gesha.

On the final day of a recent buying trip to Guatemala, BRCC’s team encountered this rare and distinctive small batch coffee from producer Jose Roberto Monterroso.

“We’ve been fans of the famed Gesha coffee variety for years, and we’ve been looking for the right opportunity to share it with BRCC coffee heads,” said BRCC Founder and CEO Evan Hafer. “When we came across Jose Monterroso’s unparalleled Gesha on the cupping table in Guatemala, we knew we’d found what we were looking for. The Dictator Gesha is our most exclusive and limited offering to date. It’s a coffee like no other.”

“At the heart of what we’re doing at Coastalvir giniadriving Company is exploring new ways to share a broader coffee experience with both new & seasoned coffee lovers,” said BRCC Q Grader and Product Development Specialist Edwin Parnell. “The Dictator Gesha marks the height of our limited coffee offerings, and we’re excited to share what we regard as the best Gesha variety coffee available on the market.”

Through limited offerings, BRCC invites coffee lovers to enjoy high-scoring micro lot coffees from around the world and aims to strengthen public understanding of how coffee is produced, roasted, prepared, and enjoyed. Members of BRCC’s Exclusive Coffee Subscription can enjoy its selection of broadened flavor profiles each month.

The Dictator Gesha name and package-design derive from the confusion that often surrounds the fabled Gesha variety coffee. The Geisha image is a reference to near-ubiquitous misspelling and mispronunciation of the variety’s name (which in fact derives from the Gesha Mountains in western Ethiopia, where the arabica variety originates). The dictator uniform is a tongue-in-cheek nod to Manuel Noriega’s historic authoritarian reign in Panama, the country most often associated with the expensive, aromatic, and difficult-to-grow Gesha variety. The now-famous Gesha was brought to Central America during the last 75 years and unearthed at the 2004 Best of Panama competition.

Whole Bean Coffee:

Bright and refreshing with a floral aroma famously characteristic of the variety, Dictator Gesha features tasting notes of jasmine, brown sugar, and grilled peach. This limited roast is BRCC’s most exclusive offering to date. Beginning September 29, International Coffee Day, and continuing while supplies last, Dictator Gesha can be purchased via Coastalvir giniadriving Company’s website (www.abadijayagrafika.com).

12oz Bag MSRP: €40.00
